A great early morning stroll down the early remains (AD 78) of Life frozen after the legendary eruption of Vesuvius. Recommended over Pompeii especially if you are a history buff or art student!
I had a choice: either visit here or the Pompeii ruins. I chose here, the lesser trodden path. I was happy I did, as the site is smaller and better preserved than the Pompeii ruins. Worth the visit!
It's really worth the trip and your time. Smaller, quieter and more well preserved than Pompei, you should definitely check it out. (Combined ticket with Pompei 20 euros / 11 euros each).
Partially better preserved than Pompeii which makes it easier to imagine life 2000 years ago. Don't miss Cucuma's bottega and the illustrated price list at the store front.
better preserved than Pompey, with a lot of frescoes. The curation behind this project was impeccable. You can see what happened at the time. Very didactic and informative without being so touristic
